I See London, I see France, Not Obama!

Euro Trip - every college student's dream. Visiting the site of the late Berlin Wall or climbing to the top of the Eiffel Tower is what we all pray to do the summer after graduation but it's not exactly what a US presidential candidate should be doing with an election just months away. Obama paid French president Nicholas Sarkozy a visit to chat about US foreign policy, something I have two major issues with.

My first issue is that Obama is wasting valuable time and money seeing the world on our tax dollars instead of campaigning. Last time I checked CNN, Obama was running for US president - not France's or Germany's. Is he getting second thoughts about US presidency now? Well, if you're reading this Obama, I don't think France or Germany want you so come back to the States and finish what you started!

And secondly - why is he going overseas discussing foreign policy? Technically he's just a senator, since when are senators sent abroad to make nice with the Europeans? That's the job of El Presidente not some lowly senator. Obama is coming out of his Euro trip looking very cocky and mildly worldly - maybe he'll back to the States sporting a beret and taking a bite of out a wiener schnitzel.
