Jamie Lynn Spears would like to introduce Maddie Briann to the world. After the star’s scandalous pregnancy and rushed engagement, she is coming out of hiding and showing off her baby.
OK! Magazine has released photos of the new mommy and her baby along with an interview about the newest addition to the Spears clan. Spears and her newborn are gracing the cover of the magazine this week and I can't agree that I'm entirely OK with it.
Spears has spent the last few months of her pregnancy fighting off negative press and rumors about her relationship with Casey Aldridge (alleged father of Maddie), why would she continue to put herself out there for all the world to criticize? Not only that, but the interview itself is plagued with quotes and comments that savor strongly of Lynne Spears' doing. Although Jamie Lynn is still a minor, she owns her own home, is engaged and has a child - by most standards, Jamie Lynn is certainly an adult.
Rumors that Mama Lynne forced an engagement upon her youngest daughter is nothing new but it appears that Jamie Lynn cannot seem to gain control of her own life as her mother struggles to keep trying to take the wheel. In the interview with OK! Magazine, Jamie Lynn comments that her mother can't stay away from the baby and offered her the following advice - "She wants to see the baby all the time. She told me the doctors are always going to be real strict and tell you, `Don't do this and don't do that.' Just follow your instincts. You're the mother and you know what your baby needs. That's what I've done and it seems to have worked."
Maybe Lynne Spears should take a freelance job as a writer for Parents Magazine, she seems to have such a flare for great parenting advice.
