John Legend Rocks Fairfield

John Legend Rocks Fairfield

Once the pianist for Kanye West, John Legend is hardly playing it low key these days. The urban sensation has taken the music industry by storm with a smooth combination of sultry vocals, a swank grand piano and a little dash of irresistible arrogance. John Legend has made it through Connecticut once again this past weekend as he rocked the house at Fairfield University.

Opening for Legend was Raphael Saadiq – a crooner with a flair for the 70s, Saadiq riled up the crowds of women with his sexy performance. Pumping up the crowd for what was to come, Saadiq left the stage with an overwhelming roar of applause and screaming women; it was like a flashback to an early Beatles’ performance.

And finally – the man, the myth, the Legend made it onto stage proving that he can move as well as he can sing. The crowd came alive as Legend performed for two straight hours ending with his latest hit, “Green Light.” Everything from slow/dirty dancing with a lucky lady in the audience to promoting his charity, Legend’s performance was mesmerizing to say the very least.
