Quinnipiac sports teams have been battling expulsions and suspensions for what seems to be a lifetime. For the past few years, the basketball team, the baseball team and now the lacrosse team have suspended players for having a little too much fun. Here’s a list of Quinnipiac’s top sports scandal.
1. In a Dark Haze – Two years ago, the Quinnipiac Baseball team was under scrutiny for allegations of hazing. After pictures were mysteriously leaked of the hazing ritual, the baseball boys soon found themselves dropping the ball in this game.
2. Urine-nation – Back in November of 2006, two members of the Basketball team had a few too many drinks and were caught with their pants down as one of them cornered a female student into a bathroom as the other proceeded to urinate on her.
3. Kegs, Kegs and More Kegs – Off-campus parties are always the envy of dorm inhabitants. After the New Blue Rugby team sent out Facebook invitations promising kegs and scantily-clad costumed girls, the party was in full-gear. Sixteen men were arrested at the party and 8 Quinnipiac students were immediately expelled from the University.
4. Lax about LAX – Quinnipiac Lacrosse team is currently facing the possibility of expulsion for hosting an off-campus party where alcohol was served to minors.
