More Excellent Drinking News!

What a week for alcohol lovers! Yesterday, we revealed that drinking red wine is not only good for your health, but also curbs obesity. Today, we come to you with this juicy tidbit:

On average, drinkers earn 10-14% more than non-drinkers. This discrepancy is higher among female drinkers (who earn 14% more than non drinkers) than male drinkers (10% more). Apparently, drinking extends one's social network, and thus, potential salaries. Thus--that extra $30 you spent on happy hour cocktails on Monday will actually benefit you in the future.

We better show this one to our worried mothers.

Side note--these statistics only apply to social drinkers who consume alcohol at bars and parties, not those who tip back the glass alone.

What do you think:

Which is the better news--drinking wine can prevent obesity or drinking socially can augment savings?

Goodbye, fat!

Hello, dollars!
