We know you’re all out of school, but we’re going to attempt to keep you abreast on Tufts news this summer with a new feature. Similar to Fresh Cream, Ripe Produce will feature local Tufts news that’s “ripe for the reading.” Here are five summer stories you must know.

* The incoming freshman class is already on the internet blogging about it. This girl is one of the 14 Health Career Fellows.

and…

* This girl just got a job at CVS but she’s far more excited about her Tufts acceptance letter.

* University officials continue to shun its hardworking maintenance staff, claiming they are not responsible for the ongoing Jumbo Janitor Alliance negotiations.

* Where’s the beef?! Economy professor Parke Wilde says flooding in the Midwest will affect the cost of everything from corn chips to steak.

* No alumni love? Former Jumbo superstar Pat Skerry has been hired as the assistant basketball coach for Providence College.

* Broke? Apparently, you can volunteer to be a human science experiment and Tufts will pay you $10 an hour.
