After seeing an endless number of my fellow Dukes sporting Redskins paraphernalia today, it dawned on me that the Redskin's season opener is tonight against last year's Superbowl champs, the NY Giants. As a die-hard Red Sox fan (even before they broke the curse), I salute all the Skins' fans that begin each season with the false yet optimistic hope that "this year is going to be our year, man" because we might as well let them have their fun before they turn into this negative nancy half-way through the season.
