Bottle blondes, Balenciagas and beautiful boys, you guessed it - it’s finally arrived, the fourth season of The Hills premieres August 18 at 10pm! MTV has released a trailer on what to expect this upcoming season and it looks like a tearful overly dramatic season of absolutely nothing. As per usual, it seems MTV has done a really great job at making the trailers a lot juicer than the actual show.
Although half the cast are officially college grads, the audience is left wondering if they make any contributions to society besides spending money at Rodeo Drive boutiques. Be warned The Hills devotees, it doesn’t seem like we’re going to find out this season. Here’s what the ladies are supposed to be doing and what the reality show hit is showing us.
Lauren Conrad, the show’s protagonist, is supposed to be juggling her time between her job at the People’s Revolution and finishing her senior year at FIDM.
But she’s really just wining and dining with hot gazillionaires and being jealous of her off the market ex-boyfriend Jason while simultaneously flirting with Brody. Busy bee, that LC!
Whitney Port, Lauren's coworker awkward Annie gal pal, has graduated from USC and is supposed to be slaving away at People's Revolution and basking in the glory of designing her own clothing line (due out this fall).
According to MTV, she's finally getting some action herself and she's dating a sizzling hot male model while continuing to be the voice of reason on the show.
Lauren “Lo” Bosworth has recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in Art History and has been spending her days “hanging out by the pool,” completely unconcerned with finding a job. Oh yea, and making Audrina cry.
Tidbits of The Hills, however, has been telling us differently. Lo has become the show’s resident villain creating tension between LC and Audrina.
Audrina Patridge, LC’s forgotten friend, has been busy defending leaked nude photos of herself and her stripper-tastic wardrobe.
The Hills trailer is leading us to believe she’s got a real job at Epic records, dating a Justin Bobby look-a-like (and arguing with JB about it) and crying over her roommate situation.
Last but certainly not least - Heidi Montag and Spencer (LC posse outcast and her boyfriend/fiancé/pimp). Heidi has been keeping busy promoting her bucket-o-yuck clothing line, Heidiwood and working at the advertising agency. Her better half, Spencer has been ... enjoying unemployment.
The show is telling us that Speidi have added Spencer's sister, Stephanie to their black list and that they still hate everyone else on the show. That actually sounds pretty accurate.
Check out the trailer for yourself and decide if this season is worth watching!
