The Institute Meets The Office

From the folks who brought you everyone's favorite Wizard of Oz remix and gave Barack Obama hope by proving that even a gerbil can become president comes a parody of everyone's favorite nine-to-five comedy, The Office. I'll admit; initially, I was skeptical about the concept of an Office parody, but as the American version has demonstrated, it's a winning formula. Executive Producer Luke Burns (A' 10) shines in one of his rare on-screen appearances for the Tuftonian sketch comedians. Keep it up, guys!

The Institute has too big of an ego to ever be funny. Instead of making pretentious videos that require viewers to have some initial curiosity about what goes on in The Institute, they should make some stuff that actually puts them on the map. About 4/5 of Tufts doesn't even know The Institute. Second off, if OTR's is going to be harsh and cynical on everything, why soften up on The Institute every single time it is featured. @ Anonymous: True -- The Institute is fairly unknown to the majority of campus. Personally, I happen to enjoy their work, which is why I give them favorable reviews. You can't be snarky all the time, after all. Well, maybe you can; I just like what I like.

Besides, the rest of the videos tagged "tufts" on the interwebs are just plain atrocious.

this video is not the least bit funny. OTR, why didn't you rip this to shreds? Posted 06/23/2008 8:57 PMReply
