The Painful Evils of Technology

Technology was originally intended to simplify the lives of its users and for years it has until now. The world is now experiencing the harrowing and daunting effects of technology in disease and depression.

From the young to the old, everyone is suffering from the painful and life-altering effects of computer-based technology. Here are just a few diseases among the myriad of technology-induced diseases.

Blackberry Thumb – On the morning train into the city, well-suited men and women can be seen sipping their Starbucks coffee and speedily gliding their fingers across the teeny tiny keys. Little do they know that with every character they type, the closer they become to contracting Blackberry Thumb. Blackberry Thumb can be described as throbbing pain in the thumbs, arms and even back all due to typing on their PDA’s.

Wii Elbow – Just when parents started to cheer for a video game that got their children off their butts, an ailment came from the little white box. According to British experts because of the lack of warm-up before an intense session of Wii, users are experiencing inflammation of the elbow joints. But fret not Wii users, the BCA has kindly created a “Wii warm-up” for all those Wii aficionados who cannot help but play their favorite indoor sport.

Video Game Addictionitis - Up there with Ålcoholics and Drug-Users, Video Game Addicts are quickly approaching a growing rise in the US. Video Game Addiction has been the cause of suicides and depression. Games like the ever-popular Halo have aided in breaking apart marriages and in creating violent children with anger issues. Thankfully this strange addiction is being dealt with as treatments centers have opened and support groups have been started.
