Now, sports columnist Mark Bradley has ranked SEC football fans in obnoxiousness, and guess what? Even without knowledge of the Gator Flop, UF fans could out-obnoxious PeeWee Herman laughing along to a Paris Hilton song.

But what is the Gator Flop? The Gator Flop was possibly the ultimate example of athletic show-offery in college history, a 1971 incident in which the Gators allowed Miami to score a touchdown so that UF quarterback John Reaves could get the ball back and set an NCAA career passing record.

Afterwards, the UM coach, Fran Curci, got his panties in a twist and refused to shake hands with UF coach Doug Dickey, then told ESPN: “I lost all respect for him as a coach and as a man.” Meanwhile, we forgot the whiner was a man at all.

We hear Curci's been crying in the shrink's office ever since.
