A Change of Pace

A Change of Pace

So I love going out with my friends as much as anyone, but this weekend I was forced to change it up and it was awesome. On Friday I got the chance of a lifetime. I went to the GA Aquarium and got to dive in the Ocean Voyager. That is the biggest tank in the world, the home of whale sharks, a manta ray, and numerous fish. It was really life changing. One of the most amazing sites I have ever seen. I had to put on a wet suit and everything. Seeing these animals up close is too cool. Those of you that get the chance have to try it out.

Saturday was my dad's birthday, so I had to skip the game. At first I was really annoyed, but it worked out nicely. He wanted to go to a comedy club, so went to The Funny Farm. It was hilarious! They had i all from gay and dirty jokes to politcal jokes. So funny. You have to go in with the right attitude, but my whole family enjoyed it. It was such a nice change. I havent laughed that hard in a really long time-and I was sober.

Moral of the story: there is more to do in college than drink downtown. One weekend can seriously change your life and also provide some serious laughs. Change it up if you can. There are comedy shows in Athens sometimes and they are pretty good too. Like I always say, doing different things really enriches your college experience.

ps-I attached a pic of me just getting into the tank at the aquarium. As soon as we did a whale shark came right up to us. Badass.
