Buses Continue to Uphold Tradition of Quality

Buses Continue to Uphold Tradition of Quality
maybe we should all start biking instead

The bus stop at Scott Hall looks a lot like a train station in India. The sheer number of people standing around in sweaty proximity is gives the illusion that America is about to become overpopulated (when, in fact, much of the heartland is still populated by corn and cattles). While the students/ft^2 ratio maximizes ones chances for meet new friends, it would be giving the bus system too much credit in providing a function to perpetual tardiness.

Most people who took the bus on Tuesday can provide some kind of complaint about their experience. Around noon, an F bus broke down for about 15 minutes in the middle of George St. when the door refused to shut (probably from an overstuffing of students into the vehicle. The students are not to blame for piling into the buses, because they were probably all late for class already from waiting for the bus they need that wouldn't come.

It is still the beginning of the year, so hopefully the buses will straighten out the problems and start taking people places on time. But until then, if you need to take a bus to class, show up at the station extra early so you don't have to end up walking in late, and having no other seat to sit in but the one the front, where your professor will glare at you for the remainder of the hour for being late.
