The American economy is plummeting, but George Bush truly lives by the phrase "ignorance is bliss."

"I'm an optimist," said Bush in a White House press conference, "I believe there's a lot of positive things for our economy."

What is on this list of positive things?  Here is what I would imagine Bush is talking about:

• the iAmCoolerThanEveryoneIKnow iPhone 3G was just released
• The President found a dollar in his jacket pocket this morning!
• Rich people are the only people who matter are getting richer

Never mind the dollar being at an all time low, the Dow closing at a 2-year low, and the recent government seizure of IndyMac banks.  I mean, Subway is selling $5 foot longs--what could possibly be bad about the economy?
