NU Continues To Take Over Back Bay, Signs Lease for New Property

It's hard saying what exactly Northeastern's plans are when it comes to the grand scheme of things but chances are you'll never go wrong with assuming they want all the land they can get. Hell, they're a property-hungry metropolitan private university, can you blame them?

Now, even the big guy can't slow down NU. According to this Boston Globe business post, the school is set to take over 101 Belvidere St., a little plot of land sandwiched between the Prudential Center and the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Apparently the land will be used for administrative purposes but, given NU's history, does anyone wonder if the school has a hidden agenda here?

The funny thing is that this property isn't even that close to campus. Whats next for Northeastern? Are we going to turn into BU?
