Senior Class President Charged for Stealing From the Union

The loot?  Bus tickets.

According to The Capital Times, UW Junior Oliver Delgado was charged with misdemeanor theft for stealing bus tickets from the Memorial Union Information Desk.  Police officers tracked down Delgado on March 27 and he admitted to the theft.  The elections were from April 1 to 3.  He already knew he was busted, but he still ran for office.  Did he not think this would surface?

Delgado told UW officers he and his roommate went to the Union to get tickets for the bus so they could catch a flight at O'Hare for spring break.  The information desk was closed, so the pair allegedly took six tickets.

If your cover up story is that you and your roommate desperately needed tickets for an early flight, wouldn't you only swipe two tickets?

Delgado's Facebook group: "Oliver 4 Sr. Class President!!!"

He pledges to support...
"1) HIGHER resale VALUE on TEXTBOOK$ (let's get the money back that we spent on them!)"
His vision for UW...
"By strengthening the student body, I hope to facilitate personal growth and learning."
