The hilarious internet series named "We need girlfriends" has been blowing up since its release almost two years ago. Recently, CBS has picked it up for a pilot episode. The series focuses on three men finding love in Astoria, Queens after they all get dumped from there long term college girlfriends. I know what you are thinking "Hey didn't NBC put on a webseries called Quarterlife? and didn't it get crap ratings? Yes NBC did put on said show and it did receive said ratings. The difference between this show and Quarterlife is that this show doesn't revolve around a lonely girls sad ramblings.

We need girlfriends is like entourage, except where entourage is a story about four guys in Hollywood living the dream and sleeping with super models, WNG is a story about three guys in NYC living normal lives and not getting laid. Instead of meeting Anthony Hopkins and having sex with Jessica Alba, WNG deals more with talking about Hanibal Lector and fighting about whether Alba was hotter in Sin City or Idol Hands? The writer's strike did not help out the cause but as soon as CBS picks up WNG it will surely be the show that every talks about around the water cooler. My advice? Watch all eleven episodes for free now! Then you can say that you were fans before it blew up. Be a part of something real. Be a part of We Need Girlfriends. Then next time you are at a club you can say confidently, "Hey don't scam on my squirrel!"
