UCLA Bruin basketball fans were steaming after a 55-52 loss to Michigan last night. The Bruins fully expected to win and play Duke tonight, but no such luck. It could be that we have so many young players, a lot of freshmen starting, and we've played a sloppy season thus far.
“You have to give Michigan all the credit,” said coach Ben Howland. “I’m disappointed in a lot, but I understand that we’re a very young team.”
Uh, yeah. That doesn't make me feel any better about our loss. Young team or not, it should have been an easy win against the unranked Michigan team, especially when UCLA has always toted our high-class basketball skills.
If we don't righten up the team quickly, it'll be a repeat of the dismal football season that we are in right now. I don't think our ego can handle it.
So please, pick up the game boys. Your school is supporting you, but we can't take another loss.
