What better way is there to wake up from a night of drinking and enjoy a delicious breakfast that doesn’t include cold scrambled eggs and greasy undercooked bacon from the dining hall? Here’s a list of 8 great places to eat breakfast (or a late brunch/brenner, depending on what time you actually wake up) off campus. Again, there is no particular order.
8. Manny’s, Vestal Avenue
Probably the best place to get an authentic egg sandwich around. It’s not so much a diner as quaint breakfast joint where you can grab stuff to go or sit at the counter. The prices are low too.
7. Nezuntoz, Pennsylvania Avenue
Very cozy. They serve Fair-trade Coffee, and bagels from the Ithaca bagel company. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, as are the rest of the menu. They have a very unique selection. There’s free wireless also.
6. Chris’s Diner, State Street
Probably the cheapest breakfast you will encounter. For $3.00 you can get two eggs, toast, coffee and home fries. You can’t really go wrong there.
5. Rolander’s, Exchange Street
It’s generally a working class crowd. This diner has that Greek feel, with low prices, and good food.
4. Denny’s, Vestal Parkway
Well, Denny’s is just Denny’s, there’s not too much to say, but it’s right on the outskirts of campus which makes it convenient for those of you without cars.
3. Plaza Diner, Vestal Parkway
The newest addition to the Bing breakfast scene, this diner has an amazing selection of breakfast specials, including sausage gravy biscuits and eggs benedict.
2. Dunkin Donuts, Vestal Parkway X2, Main Street
Okay, not the most original, but hey, who doesn’t love coffee and one of the many delicious breakfast things they have to offer. And, you only need one hand to eat those new flat bread sandwiches on your way to class..
1. Park Diner, Conklin Avenue
This diner over looks the river, so you’ll always have a nice view (as much as a view can be of the Susquehanna.) The food is great, and you can get breakfast at anytime.
