Forbes.com recently featured the 20 Most Lucrative College Majors, listing the median salaries for each career depending on years of experience. On the top of the list? Computer engineering. For those right out of college, the median salary comes to about $60,500; for 5 to 10 years experience, $80,000; and for 10 to 20 years in the field, a computer engineer could easily earn 6 figures with a median salary of $104,000.
Other moneymaking majors include 3 other types of engineering, economics, computer science, and finance. In my opinion, I was surprised to see English, history, and sociology make the list. Since when does slacking off pay off in the end? If you're wondering why medicine or law doesn't rank, the list only takes into consideration undergraduate degrees. (Ah...it all makes sense).
