Conference, Unable to Count, Continues to Call Itself Big Ten

The Big Ten. It's probably called that for a reason right? I mean you have to assume right of the bat that it's big. And then it must consist of 10 universities, right? Wrongo. Since Penn State joined the conference in 1993, there have been 11 universities making up the big ten, and rumor has it that they're looking at adding a 12th. Yea, we're looking at you Syracuse and Rutgers.

Jim Delany, Big Ten conference commissioner, is saying that expanding the Big Ten isn't "a front burner issue," but the addition of a 12th school has been getting a lot of press lately, and with the new Big Ten Network taking shape, the assumption is that they would like to add a school near a big TV market like New York (hence the Syracuse/Rutgers connection).

Maybe if they do add a 12th school they'll finally change the ****ing name of the conference. The Big 12 sounds good! Oh wait.
