Eight Great Affordable Gifts for Mother's Day

Eight Great Affordable Gifts for Mother's Day
Flowers! A lovely mix CD... Finger painting. Seriously. Eight Great Affordable Gifts for Mother's Day Books, if mommy is a nerd. A Trip to the Spa Photo collage
Find gifts for Mother's Day, cheap, fast, and in hurry (much like your last date). Don't go home empty handed this Sunday.
Alrighty, this is for my collegiate peers strapped for cash, but still interested in giving mom something for the Hallmark stamped consumerist holiday we call Mother's Day (come on, you should show Mom you care all the time).

8. Flowers: 1-800- Flowers is having a pretty sweet sale on Mother's Day flowers. You can save more than 20 bucks, if you order online.

7. Music: Take a gander at the Rolling Stone Top 20 Adult Alternative List, there's a good chance Mom's listening to the music it. Make a mix CD or find a sale at the local music store.

6. Finger Painting: Hear me out, you might surprise yourself with acrylics and a canvas. I know art supplies are a little pricey. Think, you won't need much paint and Mom will smile at the effort.

5. Book: Get her a book off of the Oprah book list . Get the paperback to save some coin.

4. Picnic: Buy some groceries and whip up some treats!! Even if you end up chatting on the couch in the den, it's a funky way to show you care.

3. Spa Day: Even if you don't pay for the diamond package, giving your Mom the opportunity to step into the spa might be worth it!! You can get a gift certificate for as low as 25 bucks.

2. Photo Collage: Print some cool pictures of you and make a cutesy time line (look mom, you helped me get here). It's kind of cheesy, but Moms love this stuff.

1. E-Cards: The Hallmark website is especially good for this, just go to the site look for the E-Card and write your mom a nice personal note. Come on, you have command of the English language. Didn't you pass ENG 101 (your mom probably paid for those credits). Also, it's free!!
