Scared of Renting Apartments in Berkeley? A. You Should Be. B. Here's Something to Help You Out
Apartment property in Berkeley is pretty notorious. It's not just because of the super high prices, break-ins, and drugs that may have been left by the previous resident, but also that Everest Properties has a practical monopoly over buildings close to campus. Oh and they were trafficking underage sex workers. What? Yeah, a good majority of people living in Berkeley pay rent to sexual offenders. Oops?

But enough about my employers (just kidding). ASUC was nice enough to schedule a week of events to educate those taking the step in Berkeley home renting. As normal ASUC will be using the tactic of luring students with free things, so why pass off a free Chipotle burrito? Schedule is as follows (taken from their facebook group):

4.28-5.02 Mon-Fri 11-2 @ Upper Sproul
Stop by the ASUC table to get cool stuff!

4.28 Monday 7-8pm @ 51 Evans
Housing Transitions Program targeting North Side Residents
FREE Food by Chipotle and Sufficient Grounds

4.29 Tuesday 12-1pm Steps of Sproul
Press Conference on the State of Affordable Housing in Berkeley

4.29 Tuesday 7-8pm @ Unit 1, APR
Housing Transitions Program targeting South Side Residents
FREE Food by Chipotle and Sufficient Grounds

4.30 Wednesday 7-8pm @ 50 Barrows
Housing Transitions Program & Disaster Preparedness Info Session
FREE Food by Chipotle and Sufficient Grounds

5.01 Thursday 6-7:30 @ 87 Evans
Debate on Prop 98/Prop 99
FREE Food by Chipotle and Sufficient Grounds

Hmm, looks like you guys just missed the press conference. But I probably did you a favor. Good luck finding places to live.
