Even with only a week until the last day of classes, students made sure to get their holiday decorations up. Lights hung on the perimeter of houses and the glow of Christmas trees through apartment windows light the grim streets of Syracuse. After all, it is simply another excuse to trek to the dollar store for fun decorations and get out the cookbook for appealing baked goods. While students are still unsure of who their friends are freshman and sophomore year, by the time you reach your fourth year at this school it becomes clear who your friends are. When the holidays roll around, you begin to realize that you have two families to celebrate with. So enjoy commemorating the holidays with friends from school, whether it be a group Secret Santa or a holiday prebar—obviously equipped with spiced cider and spiked eggnog.
