My friends and I wanted to go surfing so, like always, we strapped the boards to the roof of the car and got on the freeway. The problem was we apparently didn't strap them down enough because at some point, while going about 70 mph on the freeway, we heard and funny noise coming from the roof and we find it is the surf boards coming loose and if we hadn't reached out the window to grab them they would have flown off the car into traffic! Cornell employee injured in fall from Weill Hall
At 11:30 this morning, a construction worker fell from scaffolding on the new Life Sciences building. Oh, the irony. The building, which is going to be called Weill Hall, is slated to be done in 2008. The worker fell 30 feet and was semi-concious upon being air-lifted to the hospital.
