UW to Admit About 500 Wait-Listed Students, Up From Zero Last Year

Good news for wait-listed students.
There were a record 25,123 applicants who applied for the fall 2008 semester--12, 500 of which were initially admitted, just under half. By late May about 5,500 freshman had committed to UW-Madison. To achieve its target
