Far from the Edge

The Gossip Girls promo team recently got people talking about their new "racy ads". The images feature the faces of the teen leads of the hit show in various provocative situations, and sultry, half-lidded eyes to match. Across the pictures in large white letters are quotes from major publications stati

The Most Offensive Ad Ever

The Most Offensive Ad Ever

We're not sure if this ad actually wins that prize, but female college students might find this vintage cigarette ad particularly - incensing. Remember, girls, we're not actually at college for the learning experience -- we're only here because we want to be ogled by guys and land us a rich husband. Yeah. See what Pall Mall had to say about "girl watchers".

Hillel, Google Ads Strike Again
Google Ads, you've done it again! We thought that Lightning Hebrew was the pinnacle of your keyword-based achievements, but evidently not. Now, you're just straight up slapping the two non-Jews at Tufts in their Gentile faces. Seriously, does Jesus have a lazy eye in that picture or what?

Either that, or it will link you to a Harry Potter Fan Site. Take that, unbelievers.
Latest comment by Anonymous: Scholars of iconography will tell you that Christ's non-lazy eye represents his benevolent side, the one which will put in a good word for you... The lazy eye, then, represents his judgmental side - the one which is consta... MORE »

Hillel Now Secret Spies

Hillel Now Secret Spies
TuftsOTR has seen some really weird targeted advertising based on certain strange keywords we've used in our posts.

Latest comment by The Merry Widow: @ The Peasant: Ignore my above comment. YOU'RE going to hell.
Google Ads: TUFTS OTR = GAY "fitness" site
We've already seen how Google ads seems to think the people who read TuftsOTR are babies from England. Latest comment by Paul Tassi: haha the only time I ever got linked to RealJock was when I wrote something about our LGBT office. Upon returning to said post just now I find a link to a "Love and Pride" gay jewelry site. I think there's some keyword advertising going on.
According To Google, TuftsOTR's Audience Is British Babies
We might not know exactly who reads Tufts OTR, but somehow, we doubt it's the readers of Madonna's kid's book The English Roses. So how to explain the presence of an ad for it spotted on this page not two hours ago?

At least Google seems to have realized their mistake. Even bette... MORE »
Latest comment by Anonymous: you'd be surprised, those british babies have a great sense of humor.
And You Thought Facebook Applications Were Just for Fun…
I don't know why we trusted him in the first place

Pretty soon you'll be regretting your decision to check the box that says: “Allow this application to: Know who I am and access my information”. Remember the old days before pop-up blockers when there were at least five adve... MORE »
