The Night It Should Have Been

The Night It Should Have Been

In mid September, campus was alive with excitement that the Student Concert Committee had finally secured another big event for the year: OAR. Then, two days before tickets were to go on sale on September 28, the show was canceled due to a "scheduling conflict."

So tonight, the night that should have left

Melodic Monday

Stormy Monday of fourth week was a little brighter for a few students who were aware of Mount Eerie's live show.It was a subdued setting and if you wanted to hear a microphones tribute or something off the new ep, you would have been disappointed.

Monday's show was moved from Hutch to Cobb to finally Hallowed Ground tha

Death Cab for Cutie Concert Confirms Northwestern Is Dead

Death Cab for Cutie Concert Confirms Northwestern Is Dead

Friday night was a bunch of excitement for indie rock lovers. Or at least, it should've been. A&O worked their butts all summer to coordinate bringing Death Cab for Cutie to the Riviera in an NU-exclusive concert.

And that was the problem.

Maybe Death Cab is so 2004 and

Please, No Death Metal!

Please, No Death Metal!

The WSO thread about which artist/bands All Campus Entertainment should select for next year's major concerts has grown far too long for anyone with a life to read in its entirety. What I've gathered from skimming the thread is that there lots of people on campus have great taste in music.  I've also noticed there a

Concert Review: Death Cab in Brooklyn

Concert Review: Death Cab in Brooklyn

Last night Death Cab For Cutie stopped at McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn, NY.  It was my first time at the venue, and it is already one of my favorites.  Despite the acoustics being slightly less than stellar, the atmosphere was so relaxed that it seemed more like a block party

Girl Talk? Awesome! Queer Bash? Sweet! Futuristic Techno Rave? Wha..?
Girl Talk This weekend makes it seem as if there's-dare I say- a social scene! (-)

Girl Talk is performing in Lasell. After that you can head over to Queer Bash (the good kind, don't worry non-Ephs) at the Log or to the terrible named Futuristic Techno Party. Drunk, high and horny, that's the way I plan on spending my weekend!

If It Was $28 I Would've Asked for a Refund

If It Was $28 I Would've Asked for a Refund
I'm somewhat surprised that the Third Eye Blind concert didn't completely suck. It was nothing epic and it DEFINITELY was not worth losing 4 hours of study time but it was worth the 27 dollars that was charged.

Thankfully we're moving on to hipper, greener pastures next weekend. Girl Talk, anyone?

Jumbos Want To See The Sign

Jumbos Want To See The Sign
Rumors are afoot that Tea Green Leaf is the third Spring Fling band, but apparently, if Jumbos had their way, apparently it would be Ace of Base. Our totally scientific poll has 43% of Tufts' OTR-reading population craving the Swedish two-hit-wonder, with Smashmouth coming in second at 30%. Write-in votes inclu... MORE »
