Mother Earth Loses To Athletics Center

Much like the Lorax, protesters at Berkeley speak for the trees. Unfortunately for them, no one's listening and a new athletic center will be built as planned.

Latest comment by Anonymous: Down with the tree huggers! Controversial athletics center? Is it really? Do a a few nut bag stinkin hippies count for controversy? It is not at all surprising it took the pathetic UC Berkeley administration to resolve this.

Be Green: “Do It” Safely

According to this tree-huggin' contributor, the problem with the Earth isn't pollution; it's nymphomaniacs overpopulating the planet. If you're a sex-craved addict, be sure to use condoms and go green!

Beware: Beach water may be dangerous
A beach study reports that the more time a beachgoer spends in the water or wet sand, the higher their risk is of acquiring gastrointestinal illness, said Jay M. Fleisher, associate professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern U. Beach sand may become contaminated by gull droppings and other sources of fecal-derived organisms that then diffuse into wet sand and water. (Helena Solo-Gabriele, professor of environmental engineering at the University of Miami, is conducting further research related to findings by Tonya Bonilla.)
