China Using Underage Athletes?
In watching the gymnastic competitions in the Bejing Olympics one of China's gymnast, Jiang Yuyuan, looked like she was about 12. A public copy of her passport , which was issued in 2008, states her birthday as Jan. 1, 1992 making her 16. But online records listing Chinese gymnasts and their ages that were posted on official Web sites in China, along with ages given in the official Chinese news media, seem to contradict the passport information, indicating that Jiang may be as young as 14 (International Herald Tribune)
Latest comment by Anonymous: China is forcing families.
If you watched the gymnast finals, it talks about how Cheng Fei begged her family to allow her to visit, but they denied. how awful, i couldn't imagine such a thing.

then again, my mom's a raging b**** so i think i would be content with seeing my family once a year.
