Citigroup Cuts 50,000 Jobs, No One Surprised By Layoffs Anymore

And the layoffs continue. Citigroup has now joined DHL, Time Inc., Pepsi, Yahoo and almost every other company in cutting jobs. The bank announced today that they will layoff 50,000 people in the face of mounting financial problems.

Even though we’ve elected Obama, a beacon of hope and change, the economy is still in the shitter. What like he couldn’t fix that already? Apparently not, because today the government has reported that job losses have reached 1.2 million this year, with 240,000 job cuts in October alone.
