From Gawker.com, this is a map of plagiarism incidents at US colleges. Gawker's conclusion? "The Eastern half of the American student population [is] ethically bankrupt and growing shadier each year."

Gawker.com just released a map pinpointing all the incidents of "creative borrowing" in college newspapers in the last three years.

Brooklyn-based band the Creaky Boards have accused Coldplay--via YouTube--of stealing the melody for "Viva la Vida" from their song "The Songs I Didn't Write" (ironic much?). It's difficult to say whether the Boards' claim deserves any credit, but they definitely know how to get free
