Don't Get Stuck at Home this Summer!

This summer, all i can think about is being away from my boring  hometown as much as possible. I don't want to see my ex boyfriend, hang out at the same places I used to in high school, and I need a change of scenery. If you find yourself in a similar situation, do as the Noles do and study abro

Studying abroad. Who doesn’t want to do it at least once? The thing is it’s kind of pricey and not many college students have the money to pay for the trip. I know I’m one of them. Still, this doesn’t seem to deter students from packing their bags and going overseas.

College Fashion Spotlight: London

College Fashion Spotlight: London
A bit of eccentricity in a simple silhouette.Adorable and cheeky combination of dressy trainers from Topshop and a sundress. She looks young, trendy, and fun.Super mod sunglasses add interest to this demure yet still fresh schoolgirl look.Very Erin Featherston. In fact, that dress looks exactly line the one I own from the EF for Target collection. Adore the patent-oxfords and leather belt. Polished, but not too fussy.Spotted this woman on Carnaby Street wearing a Vivienne Westwood dress with silver t-straps and a messy ponytail. LOVE.On the way to the tube, this girl outfitted herself in mostly vintage, tight-roping on the edge fabulous nerd and granny-chic.Looks effortless, but in the best way possible.Adore the way that most London teens prance around the city as if life was just one fabulous party.Looks influenced by Hippies and Edie Sedgwick are shown off by Syracuse Abroad London studentsChic leather accessories offer variation to outfits comprised of easy basics.

College Fashion Spotlight: Berlin

College Fashion Spotlight: Berlin
With tucked in trousers, half-buttoned jacket, and orange scarf, this man exudes Berlin style and the urban look.Wintertime will not deter Berliners, as Julia, a fashion journalism student, wraps a colorful scarf around her neck and stomps around the city in chic, but durable, boots and a coat.As summer approaches, Berlin natives pull out gauzy tops and slim jeans with vintage accessories.Katie, 23, found her skirt and socks at a flea market, and shows off two hairstyle trends (braids, bangs, oh my!)Nina, a fashion designer and stylist, made her pants and shirt, which features a pleated tulle train puffing out from the back of the leather jacket. Simple, inspired, and very urban.Fee, 20, a student, shows off Berlin's love of black, but tops off her ensemble with a lavendar knit. She wears Goertz boots, a favorite brand in Germany. It was boiling outside, but this man choose fashion over function, as he layered on a fur coat. Oddly reminds me of Stefano Pilati.

Overheard: Mexico Not Real

Overheard: Mexico Not Real
Overheard at Carmichael Dining Hall during finals week:

Girl:
So, yeah, if I don't get into that program, I'll probably be studying abroad in Mexico.
Guy: Mexico? That's doesn't count. That's not studying abroad; it's studying across the border.

Did I miss the memo? Did Mexico get sent down to the minor leagues... MORE »

Where oh where to Study Abroad? (the top 5)

Where oh where to Study Abroad? (the top 5)
5)Paris- the city of love! Good wine, people are a little snooty at times, but there are almost infinity things to do.4)Scotland: jolly people, great fun and lots of ancient history in the form of castles, ghosts and kings.3)London. Who can say no to tea, the Queen and quintessential British-ness? Not I. And the dry wit is killer.2)Berlin. 24-hour clubbing. The beer is fresh, the people amusing, and the culture is fresh and young.1)Prague. As a "new" popular place, the attractions are growing everyday. Everyone speaks English, everything is cheap, and I cannot wait to go back.
Would you pick Berlin- king of beers, or Scotland, which has real royalty... Weigh up your options in Europe. (Berlin, Germany)
