Looks Like the Summer is Also on Summer Vacation

I've returned to Williamstown for the summer and despite the hellish African heat that we experienced yesterday the weather seems to have taken a turn for the better.

Today the temperatures climbed to a scorching 77 degrees. Oh, our low for tonight? 54 degrees. Queue jealousy in ....3...2...1.

Time to break out the down comforters if you ask me.

Orange Skies Over the Village of Wesleiana

The sky was inexplicably and marvelously orange in the Middletown/Wesleyan area during a storm this week. The entire town appeared to be awash in the glow, overwhelmed by a sky of melted orange sherbet. (Middletown, CT)

My hypothesis: The water molecules lingering in the humid air reflected the light from the sunset on their numerous, microscopic facets, producing a sky overcast in orange.

Fears for Another Rainy Dillo Day
After an extremely party heavy weekend and less than a week to the most extreme party weekend we ever really see here at Northwestern, today's weather does not bode well for the future.

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to see our first truly nice days - according to the Chicago Tribune, one of ... MORE »

When Instruction Ends, Hell Begins, Pt. 2
The Demon of Finals is probably also the Demon of Heatwaves.

To add injury to the injury, UC Berkeley, now days into its final exam periods, has descended into what can be considered a heatwave considering its mid-May.

Also, forget about your 10 page essay that's due tomorrow.

Tidal Wave Predicted for Fort Collins
Yesterday, the general population was sweating in t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops when the temperature got up to 80 degrees.  Right now, there are flurries outside of my window, and its about 40 degrees.  Kids just got off the school wearing winter jackets. Seriously, Fort Collins?  What's next, a tidal wave????

44 Degrees in April?

Despite the brief respite we received from temperatures below 50 it looks as if the trend of warm weather couldn't make it to Monday. Overcast skies and windy weather seem to be on the trend for the rest of the week... oh well. There's always May, right?
