A Tuition Increase? No Way!
UNC's Board of Trustees agreed upon a tuition increase last Thursday, a decision that will finally put an end to the daily article and/or editorial in the Daily Tar Heel about potential tuition increases (until next year, of course). The increases were $1,250  for nonresident undergraduate students, $800 for nonresident graduate students, and $400 for resident graduate students.

As always, students came out to protest the inevitable increase. Both the Charlotte Observer and the Daily Tar Heel singled out Brock Bayer who dressed as a "cash cow" and held up a hastily made cardboard sign. It can only be assumed that Bayer was competing with the student in the photo above for Least Dignified Protest Strategy. (Yes, that is the Old Well in the background up there! For shame, UNC.)
