Beer: It's Closer Than You Think

After four years on the hill, I thought I knew all the places around campus to purchase booze. Oh, how wrong I was. An awesome thread over on the Davis Square LJ community discussing the best places to buy beer in the area has provided so many more options. Besides just the typical Kappy's and Downtown, there are such uncharted territories as Atlas Liquors (on Mystic Ave), Cambridge Wine & Spirits (in the Fresh Pond mall), and the Modern Homebrew Emporium (on Mass Ave). Don't worry, dear readers: with so many occasions to drink coming up, I'll have plenty of opportunities to try them all — and report the experiences here, of course.

If you go to Modern Homebrew Emporium, be prepared to wait for your beer. They only sell equipment and supplies so you can **make** your own beer. Posted 04/25/2008 11:02 AMReply
