"Can't Someone Tell Me If My Damn Class Is Cancelled?!"

"Can't Someone Tell Me If My Damn Class Is Cancelled?!"
There’s nothing quite like showing up at your first class on your first day of school to a room full of students--and no professor. “Will he be here today? Will I be able to go home and catch the end of the Lost marathon?!”

But it’s a different story when one must climb a flight of stairs to department HQ, only to find out from a flighty receptionist that your class was completely cancelled. “Sorry about that!” she smiles with gum squished between her teeth.

Yet this is no frightening tale of fiction. Last week, many students subsequently forced to return to the dreaded timetable to scrounge for needed credits. The finger pointing quickly began: some departments blamed staff members for lack of communication, while others simply lacked funding to keep the classes open.

Must the big finger of guilt be pointed at the halls of Bascom, or the corridors of the Capitol? You decide!
