"Don't KILL Me, Bro!"

"Don't KILL Me, Bro!"
It could have ended in death.

Ever since UPD tased him, Andrew Meyer has been called a lot of names—free speech martyr, courageous citizen, and attention whore, to name a few.

With his douchebag qualities and that annoying “Don’t tase me, bro!” catchphrase, it’s easy to ignore the simple fact that Andrew Meyer could have died on the spot that day.

That’s exactly what happened to Jerrel Grey, who was just 20 years old when he was tased to death after a brawl that one witness described as “playful fighting.”  Robert Dziekanski recently suffered the same death-by-taser fate at the Vancouver airport, and bystander Paul Pritchard caught it all on video.

So why are people dying from what has been called “non-lethal” force? Is it the TASER device itself? Or do cops just get trigger-happy and tase people one too many times?
