As if you actually needed a reason to drink today, here you go: it's beer's birthday! Well, in America ... kinda ... it's the date that beer was made legal again in 1933. Except only sort of, because full-strength beer is 5 percent alcohol and that still wasn't legal and wouldn't be until December 1933, and really super-low-alcohol beer had been legal the whole time, only now it was allowed to stronger, so it was 3.2 percent alcohol, and this low-strength beer is still what's sold in some places, and ... this is way too complicated. I need a drink.
