Today's a bittersweet day for me, faithful readers. This was the longest day of the year, which means that my happiness bonus was at a year-long high! High fives for seasonal affective disorder, what what! I churned out gallons of vitamin D, as well as enjoyed my ride on the Melanoma Express. My name is UV rays, and I'll be your conductor.
On the downside, I'll only get sadder for the rest of the year as those cells in the back of my eye that detect the blue light spectrum and regulate my circadian rhythm have less and less exposure to the magical solar juice it craves as strongly as my tummy craves warm Jack Daniels.
Soooo, that was my solstice. What did ya'll do?
Cue inevitable tuftonian bickering about when the solstice actually falls.
