Today's Collegian breaks the story of an apparent "drug ring" being run out of Gopper's Pizza, which netted the arrests of six people after a yearlong investigation by State College police. Police say Mark Regopoulos, owner of Gopper's, was "the 'ringleader' of a high-level marijuana operation." And you thought Canyon Pizza going back to $1 was the big "pizza story" of the year.

Pizza and pot. Why didn't someone think of this earlier? If they delivered both, now that's just good marketing. Btw, here's an image from one of their t-shirts which you can purchase from their website. Pretty fitting, huh?

What's striking about the story is there seemed to be no set price on the marijuana sold at Gopper's, seems like they just charged whatever they felt like. According to police, the informant made an initial purchase in December, paying $360 for an ounce. Later an employee of Gopper's sold the informant an ounce for $275 ... $85 less. And still later the informant purchased two ounces for $275 ($137.50 per ounce).

How are you people going to run a business if you can't get your figures straight? Didn't anyone there take an Econ class?
