Believe it. The scrambled eggs are about to hit the fan again this month, as the Primary Source announced in yet another Matthew Gardner-Schuster Daily Op-Ed that "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" begins October 22.

Apparently the Source can't take credit for thinking this up all by themselves, considering Ann "I look like a man" Coulter, Sean "Yawn" Hannity, and walloped former Pennsylvania homo-hating Senator Rick Santorum are all making the rounds speaking at colleges around the country.

According to the Terrorism Awareness Project website, "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a national effort to oppose these lies and to rally American students to defend their country." (Great. Like we need another organization to remind us of terrorism. What is the Department of Homeland Security supposed to do now?)

Considering October is Crime Prevention Month, here are some other suggestions for theme weeks/months:

• Sexual Assault Awareness Month -April (oh wait we have that already...Purpose: To raise awareness of the myriad of issues stemming from the staggeringly high numbers of sexual assaults.)
• Crazy Christian Awareness Week - December 24 (Purpose: To raise awareness of the draconian stranglehold the religious right has on our political system.)
• Neo-Con Avoidance Week - Rolling (Purpose: Stay away from people who start random wars, lower taxes while pawning off debt on future generations, and generally screw up the world.)
• "Is it warm in here?" Month - December (Purpose: To enjoy the benefits of Global Climate Change and celebrate the wonders of Exxon-Mobil.)
