Lara Levi gets it!

Lara Levi gets it!

Daily smut sex columnist Lara Levi is at it again. Levi, the controversial blow-hard, has created a Facebook group promoting her own column.

Levi offers a longer, harder and uncut version (isn't that how we all like 'em?) of her original column. She also asks the Tufts community "have a sense of humor."

"I'm not trying to change the world or make any serious social commentary. I'm trying to entertain and inform," she writes.

She hit the nail on the head when she suggests reading her column after doing the crossword and sudoku, considering those are the only things anyone actively looks for. The Daily might as well publish her column on the "comics" page, and save us a lot of page-flipping energy.

I pretty much agree with her -- to all the people pissed that she's not being "responsible": we get "responsible" sex shoved down our throats at Tufts. We have the Sex Fair, In the SACK, Health Services, and VOX telling us how to have safe/consensual/fair sex. Her purpose was to tell people how to give head. And she did. If it were one more column saying "Be safe, use a condom, don't have sex if you do't want to!" it would be boring as hell. Posted 09/29/2007 6:49 PMReply

I know! She's just trying to write a funny little column. Where's the harm in that? (oh right, when the freshmen start demanding blow-jobs on facebook) ;) Posted 09/29/2007 11:27 PMReply

@ The Merry Widow: Things aren't black and white, the Merry Widow. She could have easily written as... engaging a column while still adding in bits to indicate she's not reinforcing sexist gender roles. It wouldn't kill the column to add a throw-away line about a condom, or reciprocity in the relationship. It also isn't terribly impressive to tell girls to act like a lady and know when to stay quiet. That smacks of something of an era we thought we'd moved past. Posted 09/30/2007 7:29 PMReply
