Live-Blogging From the Dwinelle Tree-Sitting
In case you haven't gotten a chance to walk by the tree-sitting taking place in front of Dwinelle, here's a typical half-hour of activity. That's how long it took me to find 23 better things to do with my time.

2:58—Arrive outside Dwinelle. Begin watching.
2:59—Tree-sitter sitting in tree. Heated conversations taking place between students. Police seem bored.
3:04—Two female students stand on makeshift podium and attempt to explain what tree-sitter is sitting in tree for. I can’t hear very well, but, honestly, don’t really care to either.
3:07—Guy walks by with kebab. It smells delicious. I want one.
3:10—The girls are still yelling. There are exactly two people listening to them. This seems to be somewhat inefficient.
3:13—Girls are still yelling, now about how they’re being video-taped and they’re going to be arrested. A small (eight people) crowd has gathered to watch now. They probably think this is some sort of Girls Gone Wild stunt. They will be severely disappointed.
3:14—Guy yells, “Shut the **** up!” at them. I concur.
3:15—Tree-sitter joins in the yelling! I really can't understand what he is saying.
3:16—Girls standing near me are commentating on the protest as well. They are not nearly as witty or intelligent as I am. I am redirecting my annoyance towards them.
3:18—Girls leave. Probably intimidated by the heat of my glare. Or they have class. (Ha.)
3:21—Commotion seems to have died down. So has my will to blog. It was fun while it lasted.
