Meredith Vieira picked to speak at graduation
Following the sad and pathetic announcement that Hahhhhhhvahd will have JK Rowling speak at graduation, the rumor mill at at Tufts has produced a list of exciting possibilities (including Stephen Colbert).

More recently the buzz on campus (among people close to the process) suggests that all fingers are pointing to Meredith Vieira as our commencement speaker this May. You know, she's the lady who used to be on "The View" and recently moved to the "Today Show," while still hosting "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

While nothing has been officially announced by the university, it seems many people close to the decision process have confirmed she is Tufts' top pick. And if she has a "scheduling conflict" and declines, we can always call Oliver Platt.

Hmm... TV > Books.
Ergo:
Meredith Viera > JK Rowling.
Ergo:
Tufts > Harvard?

QED.

You do know that she is an alum, and that her son is in the freshman class?...Wolfgang Puck's son is also in the class of 2011, so there are always options. Posted 02/10/2008 9:55 PMReply
