Nothing Beats Waking Up To Some Biological Waste In Your Driveway
Some towns' police logs have records of burglaries, muggings, or arson. But Somerville? Well, we have our very own needle watch.

That's right, Jumbos: apparently the problem of used hypodermic needles found on the streets is such a problem that it gets its own section in the police log. One of the needles was found right on Powderhouse Blvd across from Tufts. Isn't living off-campus fun?

I heard about this being a problem in Somerville last year... Apparently, Massachusetts passed a law that allows you to buy hypodermic needles in pharmacies. It was intended to decrease the transmission of Hepatitis and AIDS through sharing needles. I guess this would be an unintended consequence - people throw them out since they can just buy more.
