The CDT is reporting that a freshman female was found alive in a grassy area outside Tener Hall after falling eight stories from her dorm room. She was found at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday and was eventually taken to Altoona Hospital's trauma center and listed in critical condition yesterday afternoon.

The police are still trying to figure out what happened early yesterday morning, with the CDT reporting, the police are unsure if the she fell or jumped and police spokesman Tyrone Parham said police had not ruled out a criminal act.

The police are looking to speak with anyone who spoke with the female student prior to the incident, although they are not releasing her name yet.
