“Triple amputee leads police on several high speed chases”
An accident left Michael Wiley, now 40, armless and with just one leg when he was only 13, but he wanted to drive anyway, probably to maintain his drug career.

Lowly the Worm, from Richard Scarry's Busytown, likely changed his life.  With a can-do attitude, Michael Wiley taught himself to drive, modeling his technique after his special worm-friend and the handicap-equipped Apple Car.

"He starts the car with his toes, shifts with his knee and steers with the stump of his left arm. He turns on the lights with his teeth."  Admittedly, he has some advantages on Lowly.  I'd definitely bet on Wiley in a bum fight- he once even kicked a state trooper and got away.

Wiley, of Florida, is now in prison for 5 years on felony drug and driving charges, promising never to drive again.

"I'm beat. The white flag is up.  You can only bang your head against the wall so long before it hurts," he said as he hopped away.
