Do you find yourself wondering when a New England-based research university will finally equip themselves with an MRI machine large enough to contain fully grown horses? Well, if so, your prayers have finally been answered by none other than the fine folks at Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine!

Gone are the days where Tufts would simply have to turn its horses into glue instead of doing something far less drastic like giving them a simple MRI. Goodbye "Horse Meat Tuesdays" at Carmichael; hello, healthy equine specimens!

With the brand new, state-of-the-art, million dollar miracle MRI machine, Cummings School researchers are able to work medical marvels that are horse of a different color than those previously possible. The staff at Cummings have galloped along, getting results quickly. For instance, they "[diagnosed] joint inflammation in a nationally competing equine athlete that is now expected to regain performance in time for this season’s competitions." Or, perhaps, you might say that horse is back in the saddle again.
