Uga VII's Housing Better Than Most Students'

When it comes to football season, the players are the main attraction. But not far behind are the mascots. Nothing sparks warm feelings of school spirit quite like seeing a dog in a Georgia t-shirt walk around the field.

With such an important role, it’s no doubt mascots are treated like royalty. And if Uga VII is royalty, then his new doghouse is certainly a castle. The English Bulldog is living in the lap of luxury. After making his mascoting debut at the University of Georgia season opener last week, the pampered pooch is enjoying new digs with top-of-the-line amenities.

The DogChannel.com (of all places) gives us the Cribs-like scoop:

This is no ordinary doghouse. Uga’s new abode has all the amenities needed for such a prominent figure – from air conditioning to radiant barrier and siding with a 50-year limited warranty, according to Brant Mitchell, marketing manager of Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, the company that donated the material for the doghouse.

The 12-square-foot house was built at no charge to the university by McCar Homes. The materials are environmentally friendly and are designed to keep Uga cool on the field.

Seriously?

The dog lives in better conditions than most students in dorms.
